This facility is an occupied medical space adjacent to the 2nd floor waiting room. All work had to be conducted after 5PM. The challenges of this project was dust control, moving materials in and out of building and keeping existing building systems operational.

Incident occurred on a Sunday night late in December 2016 under very severe winter conditions. Mobolizing to repair the broken sprinkler line immediately and relocating people and office functions to undertake cleanup and repair quickly over the next few weeks. Coordinating multiple sub contractors for quick response and resolution: Furniture and file relocation, electrical, data, tile & grid, drywall repair, cleaning , painting, flooring, etc.

The challenge of this project was to implement changes to the counter system including removing a 10′ section of the existing counter building a new wall assembly with a secure door and fabricating an ADA counter height using recycled materials from the removed section of counter. All work was completed after 5 PM. Also, had to maintain access for public use on a daily basis.

This was a very interesting project and we spent hours researching materials and wall hung bike rack systems. There was also the challenge of collecting dirt and water from the bikes, and we were able to work with a local plastic fabrication company to design the entire wall and drip system that drains to a central collection point.
